Next Huddersfield Manager Odds: Early Hot Favourite To Replace Sacked Lee Grant

Huddersfield are on the hunt for a new manager following the dismissal of Lee Grant after Saturday's 3-1 defeat at struggling Burton.
The former Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley goalkeeper signed a three-year contract in the summer, but was shown the door eight months into his reign, despite the club being inside the League One play-off places.
Liam Manning is the overwhelming favourite on betting sites to take charge of the Terriers, who are 10 points adrift of the automatic promotion spots.
We take a look at the main contenders for the role and the latest next Huddersfield manager odds.
Lee Grant has been relieved of his duties as Huddersfield Town Manager with immediate effect.

Manning In Driving Seat
Manning is the 2/7 favourite with one of the betting apps to get Town's promotion bid back on track.
His 17-game spell as Norwich manager was cut short in November after a seventh successive home defeat in the Championship, but it should not be forgotten how successful he was elsewhere.

Oxford were second in League One when Manning left the club in November 2023 to join Bristol City, who reached the Championship play-offs under his stewardship in the 2024/25 season.
Manning then had a disappointing spell at Carrow Road, but he is the frontrunner to fill the vacancy at the John Smith's Stadium.
Next Huddersfield Manager Odds:
Manager | Odds | Probability |
Liam Manning | 2/7 | 77.8% |
Michael Skubala | 5/1 | 16.7% |
Darren Ferguson | 12/1 | 7.7% |
Andy Woodman | 14/1 | 6.7% |
Karl Robinson | 14/1 | 6.7% |
Steven Gerrard | 20/1 | 4.8% |
Russell Martin | 20/1 | 4.8% |
Tony Mowbray | 20/1 | 4.8% |
Leighton Baines | 20/1 | 4.8% |
Jim Goodwin | 20/1 | 4.8% |
Skubala's Star Rising
Michael Skubala is causing a major stir as manager of Lincoln, who are bidding to be playing in the second tier for the first time in 66 years.
The Red Imps missed out on the League One play-offs on the final day of last season following a 2-0 defeat by Portsmouth, but they are well placed in second on the back of a nine-game unbeaten run - six of which were victories.
Skubala was highly regarded during his spell at Leeds where he was head coach of the U21s until he was appointed caretaker of the men's first team following the dismissal of Jesse Marsch.
He left the Yorkshire club to join Lincoln where he has been highly successful and is priced at 5/1 to join the Terriers.

Ferguson Available After Posh Exit
Darren Ferguson is on the market again after his fourth stint as Peterborough manager was ended in October.
Ferguson was given his marching orders after a 2-1 home defeat by Blackpool left Posh rooted to the foot of the League One table.
However, the son of legendary Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson had enjoyed three promotions with Peterborough throughout his career and one with Doncaster, so he knows how to get the job done.
Ferguson is available at 12/1 to land the Huddersfield gig.
Woodman Cutting It At Bromley
Andy Woodman can be backed at 14/1 on the back of an incredible spell as Bromley boss.
Woodman left his job as Arsenal goalkeeper coach to take over as manager of the National League club in March 2021.
During his spell at Hayes Lane, Woodman turned down the chance to take over as Gillingham manager four years ago and in the same season he won the FA Trophy.
The former Northampton, Brentford and Oxford keeper then guided Bromley into the Football League for the first time in their history via the play-offs in 2023/24 and they are top of League Two on the back of a seven-game winning run which was ended by a goalless draw at Chesterfield.

Robinson In The Frame
Elsewhere, former Salford manager Karl Robinson, who steered MK Dons to promotion from League One in the 2014/15 campaign, is also 14/1 to fill the Terriers vacancy.
Alex Revell's second spell in charge of League One side Stevenage is going much better than his first and he is 16/1 for the Town post.
Former Rangers managers Steven Gerrard and Russell Martin are both 20/1, the same price as Tony Mowbray, Leighton Baines and Jim Goodwin.
